Partnership with the venerable Onvest

The property is owned by the Finnish family company Onvest, with a history spanning over a hundred years. In 1913, businessman Alfred Onninen founded a plumbing installation business. That marked the beginning of a journey that has continued through generations.

The ownership of the property extends almost as far back as the company’s history. The property was acquired in the 1930s, a period when the company operated under the name Vesijohtoliike Onninen. By naming the new building after the company’s founder, the intention is to pay homage to him and restore the property to its rightful value.

Environmental Impact

Vallila's Alfred is an excellent choice for your company on the journey towards carbon neutrality. Environmental sustainability and people's well-being have been the starting points of the design work.

Social Responsibility

The idea of collaboration and shared responsibility underpins our actions. Sustainable development in Vallila, revitalization, and increasing appreciation for the area mean a lot to us.

Energy Sources

The property's energy class will be A, a level achieved by only 2% of the current building stock. The building will be heated with renewable energy, and part of the electricity will be locally generated through solar panels.

Building and Interior Materials

Comfort is created by the abundant use of greenery and warm wood in interior materials. Industrial bricks and concrete evoke history, seamlessly integrating the building into its surroundings.

Environmental Certification

We aim for LEED Platinum-level environmental certification. We openly share sustainability-related data, such as consumption and condition information, with our tenants.

Well-being

The well-being of those operating within Alfred is close to our hearts. The new office space is designed with users in mind, providing them with optimal conditions for work, well-being, and comfort.

”People's well-being and sustainability must be at the center when defining the guidelines for the future and for this office space. They are the most important keys to long-lasting operations.”
